4 Tips to make a Tabletop Statement

Botanica Floral & Event Design is a wedding design studio serving the California Central Coast, namely the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara areas. Their extensive collection of rentals cater to wedding styles such as rustic weddings, vintage weddings, bohemian weddings, and ballroom weddings. From beaches to vineyards to all of the other amazing wedding venues that California has to offer, they specialize in making your wedding unique and personal to you.  Their inventory is consistently growing and adapting to meet the needs of the ever-changing standards of the wedding industry. Audrey Chaney, the Creative Director and Owner of Botanica, strives to revitalize classic and traditional wedding styles. Her work in floral design is tailored by experience and her design intuition is the reason why her work is continuously featured on national wedding blogs.

Here are four quick tips from Audrey on how to make a design statement with your tabletop.

{1} Don’t be afraid of color. Using colored glasses or goblets is a great way to incorporate color without going overboard. The glass provides an airy quality to the table setting without being over-saturated.

{2} Create texture. Instead of using a plain white linen, why not go for something with texture or something embroidered? This will definitely add some interest to the look of your place setting.

{3} Use a variety of mediums. Bring in different natural elements like wood or some kind of metal. This could be gold flatware or wood chairs.

  1. {4} Try mismatched. For vintage, eclectic, or whimsical styles, mismatched works perfectly! You’re mismatched items could be something subtle like your flatware or it could be something more obvious like mismatched vintage china.
