Alluring Events & Design {Iconic Weddings Lake Tahoe Trip}

Last month we had the privilege and pleasure of experiencing three of Tahoe’s prime resorts and their multiple wedding venues. We love business trips that turn out to be just as much fun as they are work! We spent 3 beautiful days exploring Northstar, Heavenly and Kirkwood where we toured, dined and over-nighted at the best of the best. Northstar has a lot to offer including the Village at Northstar, a golf course, gorgeous mountain views, an award winning chef (Daniel Carter of Tavern 6330) who caters all weddings, night life, lovely accommodations and multiple ceremony and reception locations on site. At 8,000 feet and 2 gondola rides up the Mountain is Zephyr Lodge, which offers a stunning backdrop for your ceremony as well as a rustic (and elegant!) reception space that can hold as many as 500 guests. Heavenly is, well, heavenly! The views of Lake Tahoe from the top of the mountain are out of this world amazing. The Blue Sky Terrace ceremony site is swoon worthy and will take your guest’s breath away as they watch you say “I do”. There are many ceremony and reception sites available to choose from at Heavenly, along with awesome activities for your guests to enjoy. Some activities include zip lining and ropes courses (on site!), cruises on the lake, golf and scenic gondola rides. Between the beautiful accommodations and unforgettable views Heavenly will not disappoint. Kirkwood is for the inner outdoorsman and nature lover in all of us. It is peaceful and a little more remote than the other two locations, but will make you feel like you own the mountain. There are activities galore that will keep your guests entertained and serene surroundings that will keep them relaxed. Red Cliffs Lodge, one of three venues on site is a unique space offering many floor plan options, an amazing bar area and a separate lounge so your guests can enjoy the evening in a way that best suites them.
