Alluring Events & Design {Styling Your Guy for the Big Day}

While most eyes will be on you as you walk down the aisle, we can’t forget that your eyes will be on your main squeeze.  Which means your guy needs look dapper as ever that day!  Amidst the gowns, flowers, and all things bridal we cant forget to show some love to the handsome stud standing next to you.  His look should compliment your dress, without being too “matchy-matchy”.  Always keep in mind how certain outfits will photograph alongside one another.  Whatever wedding style you go with, there’s a perfect look for your groom.

//Boho Romance //

For a bohemian inspired wedding it’s all about the textures! With a boho-vibe you can really mix it up and be creative.  A textured charcoal colored suit with a deep plum tie is whimsical and romantic.  For a more relaxed look you can go with no jacket and just the vest.  Another great idea for your guy is a lavender and herb boutonniere, rather than the traditional floral style. And, if he fits into the very small percentage of guys who can pull of a sexy man-bun…then he should definitely rock it.  It’s all in the details!

// Beach Wedding //

You might think that a pale linen suit is the answer for a beach wedding, but it’ll disappear into the sandy background.  A dark green or navy blue will bring out those undertones of the water and pop in your pictures.  A lightweight material will be comfortable for your guy and a more fitted cut won’t be blown around too much in the ocean breeze. Again, always think about how things will photograph.

 // Classic Tuxedo //

A tuxedo is crisp, classic, and timeless.  What man doesn’t clean up well and look fabulous in a tux?  So stick with the basics when it comes to a tuxedo.  Black and white, minimal frills and a charming smile.  Complete the look with either a bow tie or skinny tie, and you’ve got yourself a groom!

// Garden Setting //

A light colored suit and a small pop of color is perfect against a busy and colorful floral setting.   A light grey suit and an olive green skinny tie would pair well together.  I can see this looking perfect against a grove of redwood trees or a luscious garden with floral arches.
